The Rocky Mountain RoughRiders got back on track with a 4-2 win over the Pikes Peak Miners in CAHA League play on Saturday. This was the third meeting of the season for these two teams with the RoughRiders holding a 2-1 series lead. The teams face off tomorrow in Colorado Springs in another CAHA League game.
The RoughRiders pulled out to a 3-0 lead in the game only to see the Miners close the gap with two second period goals. The score remained 3-2 until the RoughRiders scored a power play goal in the third period. With a 4-2 lead, the RoughRiders played strong and did not allow the Miners to get back in the game.
The RoughRiders out shot the Miners 28-14 during the game.

U18 RoughRiders Faceoff Against the Miners This Weekend
The Rocky Mountain RoughRiders U18 team plays two more games from their CAHA League schedule against the Pikes Peak Miners. The game time has been changed for the Saturday game. The game at The Ice Centre at Promenade is now scheduled for a 12:00 PM start on the Red Rink. The game on Sunday has been moved to Sertich Ice Arena in Colorado Springs is scheduled for a 3:30 PM start.
After moving up to a #23 ranking nationally, the RoughRiders dropped to #30 after losing two games last weekend to the #6 ranked Colorado Rampage.

The RoughRiders and Miners have 1-1 record against each other so far this season. The Miners beat the RoughRiders 1-0 in a non-league game, in the RoughRiders first game of the season (Game 1 Video Clip). The RoughRiders beat the Miners in Blaine, MN, 6-3 in NAPHL play (Game 2 Video Clip).
