In its second season, the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) has grown to 38 teams. This season there will be 18 Midget Major (U18), 14 Midget Minor (U16) and 6 Bantam Major (U14) teams from 19 programs that compete at the Tier I AAA level. The NAPHL is comprised of five regular-season events leading up to its Championship Tournament Series in which the top teams at each level compete for a league championship. The NAPHL, which is sanctioned by USA Hockey, utilizes the USA Hockey Officiating Development Program and is designed to maximize the exposure of all the Midget and Bantam participants through the NAHL's high-profile recruiting events which attract hundreds of college, junior and professional scouts.
