CAHA League Game: Miners 2 RoughRiders 1

After coming off a 6-1 win the day before over the Pikes Peak Miners, the U18 Rocky Mountain RoughRiders took to the ice with hopes of a similar outcome. The RoughRiders scored the first goal of the game and enjoyed a 1-0 lead after one period of play.

The second period turned out to be a different story. The Miners found the net twice and lead the game 2-1 after two periods.

The RoughRiders came out strong in the third period but could not find the net. After a scoreless third period, the Pike Peak Miners came away with their first victory in CAHA league play. The RoughRiders out shot the Miners unofficially 28-19. "Unofficially" because the scorekeeper in Colorado Springs failed to keep "shots on goal" for the game. Fortunately, the RoughRiders keep a wide array of stats for each game.

In CAHA League play the RoughRiders have four games left on the schedule. All will be against the Colorado Thunderbirds with two games scheduled in December and two games in January.
